Fairfield County resident Richard Commaille, 70, of Redding, surrendered to Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, June 9, and was charged with murder.
A physician's assistant in the Redding area for 40 years, Commaille was arrested following an investigation into the alleged suicide of his wife Nanci Commaille, who was reportedly found shot in their home on Monday, April 6, on Top Ledge Road.
Redding police handled the original call but turned the investigation over to state police.
State police said they have sealed the arrest affidavit with details of the crime for 14 days due to confidentiality statutes.
Commaille was processed and released on a $500,000 bond and will appear in court on Wednesday, June 10.
